| Mr. Fuchs is a European based senior executive with extensive experience leading the operations of information technology companies in Europe and Asia. He has nearly three decades of experience as a senior executive in IT, software, and telecommunications. He has held positions at Business Objects, Netonomy, Spatial Technology, Seiko Instruments, McDonnell Douglas Information Systems International, Unify Group Holding, and Wavefront Technologies. In addition he has provided strategic consulting to the CEOs and presidents of companies such as Softricity, NEC Corporation, Docent, Cartesis and others. Because of his multilingual skills, results oriented and focused approach, he has been engaged by number of firms to assist with mergers, partnerships, divestitures, and strategic plans. He was the first non-native employee in a large Japanese technology company in 1983. This experience propelled him towards an Asian/European view of product distribution and strategic partnerships that has been in high demand ever since. Mr. Fuchs was an early employee of Business Objects and was an integral part of the senior executive management team and strategic planning committee of the company before and after the IPO, which were all times of high growth which propelled the company from $18 million to $500 million in worldwide revenue. Mr. Fuchs has also been part of a number of other successful businesses before and after Business Objects; experiences that bring very valuable lessons. In the ‘90s, Mr. Fuchs served as the chairperson of the American Electronics Association’s software committee in Japan and briefed President Clinton and Secretary of Commerce Daley on the Japanese software market and frequently advised foreign software companies on market entry strategies. He has both a Masters of Science and BS from the University of Waterloo (Ontario, CA) and has been a co-author of two books on the Japanese software business. He speaks English, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, and Hebrew, with varying degrees of fluency. |
